Hundreds of families participated in the Destination Dignity march and rally in Washington DC on Friday to bring awareness to the issue of mental health. Nineteen million people in the United States live with mental illness, and often do not find the help they need to be able to lead normal lives. Unemployment is five times higher for those with mental illness. Because of the stigma associated with mental illness, many patients do not seek treatment.
