Venezuela: State of Exception Declared Along Colombian Border

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro declared a 60-day state of exception Friday in five municipalities in the state of Tachira along the Colombian border. The move comes after three Venezuelan soldiers were seriously injured at the border in an attack by Colombian paramilitary forces. Maduro said the border would remain closed until further notice while Venezuela regularizes its economic and social situation. teleSUR
