Scorpene Singapore briefing 'skyped' to KLites

The planned briefing for parliamentarians on the Scorpene scandal by French lawyers was held in Singapore today.

Originally the briefing was to be held in Kuala Lumpur, but it was moved to Singapore following the failure of human rights NGO, Suaram to obtain an assurance from the government that it would guarantee the security of the two lawyers.

The briefing in Singapore was made available simultaneously through Skype in Kuala Lumpur. It was organised by opposition-linked group Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia.

About 30 people attended the online briefing.
