Korea's CG technology creating virtual cities in movies
Korea's Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) has succeeded in developing a computer graphics technology crucial in creating virtual cities in movies or TV dramas. Until now, Korea has been largely depending on foreign technologies or manual works to create digital nature environments. But with the latest development, the country is able to create virtual cities by integrating graphic features and roads at low costs. If the country gets orders worth 0.1% of the global movie CG market with the latest technology, it will gain an economic effect worth 18.6 billion won.
