The Temuans of Mukim Tanjung Duabelas, Kuala Langat have been trying to stop Kumpulan Semesta, a Selangor State government linked company, from mining sand in an area that they consider to be their customary land. Other parties to the injuncgtion are the Selangor State government and the district office.

They have applied for an injunction to the sand mining activity pending a full trial to hear their bid to claim full rights to lands in Mukim Tanjung Duabelas which was alienated as a Sakai reserve by the British colonial government.

The total land area of the Mukim is 17,900 acres.

However, today the High Court in Shah Alam denied them the injunction on a question of law, the presiding judge, Lim Yee Lan postponed the trial to July.
