Padang Serai voters wary of 'Frogs'

Padang Serai, a little town tucked away in southern Kedah, is surrounded by oil palm plantations.

It has 56 percent Malay, 23 percent Indians and 12 percent Chinese voters.

Although,a Pakatan led state, they are facing an uphill battle in securing voter-confidence.

They claim "political frogs", a term used for politicians who quit their parties to join others, are causing the rift.

In 2008, N.Gobalakrishnan representing Padang Serai,(Zulkifli Noordin) representing Kulim Bandar Baharu and the Lunas state seat held by Mohd Radzhi Salleh quit the party to become Independents.

We talk to N. Surendran about his challenges of winning the Padang Serai seat.
