The Essence of freedom - a song on independence of women by India@69

The song India@69 depicts the theme of “Independence for Women” in all sense. It puts itself forward as an anthem and a wakeup call for the youth of the country, who seem to have forgotten their cultural heritage and have started to tread on the dreadful road of violating the womankind.
The initiating dialogues remind the people about the struggle and sacrifice their ancestors had put in to gain the independence for the nation. It asks them to reflect upon the feelings of the people who are not free thus they can further appreciate their own independence. While we rejoice our freedom we should not forget the responsibilities that come with it. As the theme says that we have the responsibility of creating equality for all the people, highlighting here the rights for women.
The song is a message of a mother to her son about respecting women. Here the mother is generalized as a mother who gives birth, the mother land and in general what we can perceive as a “life giver”. The woman without whom the whole existence of mankind is impossible. This mother /woman in this song is trying to make her son understand the value of others of her kind and asking him to respect them instead of thinking of violating them.
The song tries to shake the youth into understanding that their deeds are being watched by the world, leading to the deamination of their once rich cultural heritage. It reminds them that the country had once been the center of all that is inspirational for others to follow. Despite us flaunting our religion and fighting for it, we seemed to have forgotten the real depth and teachings of our own religion. We should stop the way we are slowly turning into barbarians and savages and get united to make our country a beautiful place to live in.
Even after independence we seemed to have categorized it in such a fashion that different people have different meaning for it. While we have the boys roaming around as if they are the rulers here, the girls seem to cower trying to protect themselves. People with shallowness in their hearts have created rules and regulations to suit themselves. They have created boundaries for others to suit their own inferior mindset. Who are we to complain when others make fun of our ways when we ourselves are the cause. We the youth have to join hands to correct the folly of our past and redeem the country to its former glory. To attain the former pride for our nation we have to first take a step towards protecting all the women of our nation like a lion protects its cub.
This song is a call to all the youths of the country to fill them with the realization that the true glory can only be attained by respecting women and their rights.
