A French judicial inquiry into the controversial sale of two Scorpene submarines to Malaysia may now be looking at sensational claims made by private investigator P Balasubramaniam in 2009 over the murder of a Mongolian woman, Altantuya Shaaribuu. Human rights NGO Suaram says the court has contacted lawyers who were allegedly involved in Bala's conflicting statutory declarations.
