Bob Patterson "Short Stories" 1980 Private US Psych Folk
The last of three good rural s-sw albums from Patterson, whose solo career spanned the entire 1970s, after beginning with the popular psych band Elizabeth in the late '60s. He revisits some Elizabeth tunes like the great "Mary Ann" on this swansong album, which has an attractive, mature sound with none of the whiney no-talent stuff you get on a lot of '70s privates. As suggested in the Acid Archives, this LP is actually better than his more 'collectable' 1977 album;
