The re-opening of the United States Embassy in Havana finalizes the first step of the normalization of Cuba-U.S. relations. Secretary of State John Kerry will lead the opening ceremony on Friday, in which he will raise the United States flag. Activists insist that the blockade must now be lifted because it’s impossible to talk about normalization when one side is suffering the effects of an unfair practice.
