Photographer Reza on his new exhibition by child refugees

2015-08-12 15

Reza is an Iranian-born photographer based in Paris. He is currently holding a major exhibition on the banks of the River Seine in the French capital, showing the lives of Syrian refugees in Iraqi Kurdistan. But he didn't take the pictures himself. He taught children in the camp how to use the camera, and then let them get on with it.

Reza hopes for a better future for these children. “We have a golden opportunity, now that all these kids are in specific places, to bring huge numbers of teachers and train them, teach them. Let’s use this opportunity and bring education [to them] … We will change in 20, 30 years the whole region by doing this”, he told FRANCE 24’s Armen Georgian.
