Salvadoran President Salvador Sanchez Ceren denied rumors of a new gang-imposed public transport strike. Last week criminal gangs killed nine bus drivers in an attempt to impose a strike aimed at gaining political influence in government talks on security. Sanchez said that if necessary the police and army would be called out to ensure that the population can freely go about its activities. teleSUR
