A shocking video has emerged of a chaotic stage invasion at a Morrissey gig in San Jose California on Wednesday that caused the singer to exit the stage mid-song.
Eager fans began running on stage to hug the singer during his encore, managing to escape the security controls in place.
After a few members of the audience were able to give Morrissey a hug, many others decided to join in until the stage was crowded with hysterical fans.
The scene then appeared to turn violent as fans began desperately trying to grab hold of the singer, forcing him to depart the stage.
The concert was the first of Morrissey's new North American tour to promote his forthcoming album.
