Tenaganita director Aegile Fernandez has criticized Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement that foreign workers who “encroached” on land were partly to blame for muddy floods and landslides in Cameron Highlands.
According to her the threatening, harassing and criminalizing of migrants and refugees who work in Cameron does not address the problem and merely diverts the attention away from the issue of illegal land clearing to illegals.
