Chittorgarh Fort is present in the city of Chittorgarh which itself is located in the southern part of Rajasthan. The city of Chittorgarh is very famous for its massive fortress which is considered the largest fort among all of the Rajput forts. Another reason why tourists are attracted from all over the world to this fort is the legendary and the romantic act of Jauhar by Queen Padmini’s. This massive fort was built in the 7th century A.D by the Maurayans and is also known as Chittor. This legendary fortress has over the years witnessed three battles, all in which the act of jauhar was performed. This fort lies in a impressive 700 acres area and has an elevated height of 180 meters.
