Ex President Carlos Menem, the former head of Argentina’s Central Intelligence Agency Hugo Anzorreguy and 11 other high level officials went on trial on Thursday for obstructing the investigation into the 1994 bombing of the AMIA Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires that killed 85 people. The trial will probably last over a year and 100 witnesses will be heard. Some believe the trial will reveal the masterminds and perpetrators of the attack, while others are less hopeful.
