Caño Cristales or the Crystal Spout is a river present in the region of Meta, Columbia. This beautiful river has many names dues to its appearance. Some of these names by which this river is referred to as is the Liquid Rainbow river or the River of Five Colours. The reason for this unique naming of this river is because this river during a specific time period showcases five different colours while flowing from one end to another. The reason for these wide varieties of colours is due to the presence of freshwater plants known as the Macarenia Clavigera (Podostemaceae).
