In order win over young bike buyers in the country, Honda is bringing in its Hornet 160R, which has a sportier look and feel about it compared to the previous Unicorn 160. Sources in the company revealed to us that the Hornet 160R will carry the same engine as the Unicorn 160, which means it would use the same 162cc engine which is capable of giving out a peak power of 14.6bhp and a peak torque of 1.48kgm.
The design of the bike suggests that it has been heavily influenced by the design of the Hornet CB600F. With sharp lines and angles, the Hornet 160R does look much more sporty and young compared to its older sibling. Other features of the bike include 10-spoke alloy wheels, single piece seat with slightly raised rear for pillion riding, and a digital information display cluster.
As far as price is concerned, we expect it to hover somewhere around the 75K mark when it hits the market.
