Coast Guard And Brevard Zoo Release 25 Baby Turtles Back To The Ocean

The Brevard Zoo in Florida, working with the U.S. Coast Guard, recently released 25 rescued sea turtle babies, called hatchlings, into the Gulf Coast Stream off the coast of Cape Canaveral.

Twenty-five baby sea turtles were released into the ocean on Tuesday.

A video by the U.S. Coast Guard shows a few of the half-shelled hatchlings climbing on top of one another before being gently tossed into the deep water where they stand a chance at living long lives. 

The Loggerhead and Green sea turtles had been stranded in their nests along the Florida shore and were unable to make it to the greater ocean alone. They were rescued by conservationists working with the Brevard Zoo, and the
