TeleSUR interviewed Rafael Bernabé on Monday on the question of Puerto Rico’s debt crisis. Bernabé is a spokesperson for the Working People’s Party and a former candidate for Governor. He says that the position of the government is inconsistent. While saying that the debt is unpayable, it stops paying part of the debt. Therefore Puerto Rico has the negative consequences of a default, but at the same time he continues to pay millions of dollars that are part of the debt. He believes that the government should take a clear stance on suspending payments. teleSUR
