The Stories Behind the Tweets, hosted by Coromoto Jaraba, seeks to open a window to the world, to get to the bottom of stories larger than 140 characters. Today we begin in two small towns in Argentina, both of which claim to be the birthplace of former President Juan Domingo Peron. Then it’s on to Ferrol, in Galicia, Spain, where a port with a once thriving shipyard has now become a ghost town. And our last stop is a small town in Oaxaca, where people are defending the corn that has sustained them for centuries, now threatened by genetically modified seeds. teleSUR
