Mexican: Workers Charge Health System Reforms Prelude to Privatization

Across Mexico, thousands of active and retired state health-care institution employees demonstrated against proposed reforms to the Mexican Social Security Institute that they feel are a prelude to its privatization. The reform, which seeks to unify health care institutions, will imply a reduction in coverage and an increase in fees as well as a cut in health sector employee benefits and pensions.
