First Auroras Found Outside Our Solar System

Scientists have detected the first existence of auroras outside the solar system; the phenomenon was observed around a brown dwarf celestial body located 18.5 light years away from Earth.

Auroras are brilliant displays of sky activity that are known to happen on Earth and other planets in the solar system. 

Now, a new study discusses the existence of such activities around brown dwarfs, which lie outside the solar system and are considered to be ambiguous celestial bodies because they neither qualify to be a star nor a planet.
