The Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, a neoliberal trade pact, being negotiated between 12 countries, among them Mexico, could have serious negative consequences. A massive growth of imports will further weaken Mexican agriculture and deregulation of environmental controls, labor rights, and trade barriers can also be expected.
