Honduras: Opposition Slams Gov't Militarization of University

The Honduran opposition criticized the decision by President Juan Orlando Hernandez's government to militarize the National University in an effort to quell student protests. Critics say the use of security forces on campus violates university autonomy and in the past only occurred during military dictatorships. The students are demanding a say in formulating educational policies and the right to elect their own representatives. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa. teleSUR
