Accidental Encounter ? When Materials Turn to Content
The exhibition "Accidental Encounter" showcases artworks made of materials easily found in everyday life, including disposable products and discarded objects. These artworks result in unexpected encounters between ordinary materials and the public. The exhibition is divided into two parts: "When Materials Turn to Content" and "When Materials Turn to Medium." "When Materials Turn to Content" is comprised of large installations, including Kim Soon-in's "Dreamlike," made of Ping-Pong balls, Youn Gi-baik's "Green Heights," created with an old cabinet inlaid with mother-of-pearl, as well as "The Space 17-2015 Buk Seoul" by Oh You-kyeong with pebbles collected from various places. A variety of ordinary materials become special objects through these artists, questioning how the general public perceives modern art.[Fine art] When ordinary things become extraordinary The Buk Seoul Museum of Art http://sema.seoul.go.kr
