Surprise your kids on a weekend morning with these super easy, colourful, sweet and delicious CEREAL BOWL VANILLA CAKES! Bake your cakes in oven-safe bowls, carve out the middle, and fill with cereal and MILK… yes milk. Trust me it tastes great! The vanilla cake batter absorbs colour magnificently and you can fill these cakes with any cereal your heart desires! For my “Frosted Cakes” colours I chose vibrant orange, yellow and purple and filled each one with a different cereal. They’re GRRREAT!

Tools/Supplies:
3 oven-safe bowls to 350º F
Mixing bowl
Flour sifter
Electric or stand mixer
Rubber spatula
Ingredients:
3 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
Food colouring in any colour you like!
