The CRF1000L Africa Twin adventure bike details have been released by Honda. According to it the bike will feature a 1000cc parallel twin engine capable of doling out 95PS of peak power and 98Nm of peak torque. The company has also revealed that it has managed to develop a compact engine with four-valve unicam head design.
According to Honda, the short height of the engine is responsible for the high ground clearance of the bike. It has been incased within a semi-steel double frame to offer both stability at high speed and off-roading ability. A 6-speed transmission with added slipper clutch has been mated to the engine. A dual clutch transmission will also be offered as an option.
