FIA officials and Rangers personnel conducted a raid last night on the Land Department at Civic Center area in Karachi. According to sources, Rangers and FIA officials seized important documents pertaining to china-cutting. These documents were loaded onto a truck and taken away by Rangers, according to sources.
Rangers had carried out a raid late last night at the third floor and tenth floor of the Civic Center building. During the one hour raid which was conducted, FIA and Rangers officials seized thousands of files pertaining to the Land Department.
According to sources, the raid was conducted as per the disclosure of arrested Land Department official Jameel Baloch. The files that were taken from the department pertained to china-cutting and illegal lease.
The files were so much in quantity that a truck had to be arranged, in order to carry them away. According to sources, during the raid the files that were seized were also those of properties which belonged to the era of Manzoor Qadir.
