Amos Shook, who went missing 43 years ago, was finally found dead this week at the bottom of a lake in North Carolina less than a month after his daughter requested the local sheriff’s office re-open her father’s case.
A man missing for 43 years was found dead at the bottom of Lake Rhodhiss in Caldwell County, North Carolina earlier this week.
Amos Shook was reported missing in February of 1972 but the case stalled out for decades. Shook’s daughter recently approached the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office asking them to re-open the case, but most of the older files were gone.
