Heard the latest? The third offering of Nissan’s low-cost brand after Datusn Go and Go +, Datsun Redi-Go, will go on sales by March next year.
That’s right…the all-new vehicle is based on Common Modular Family platform, and will be motivated by a petrol 3-cylinder powerplant mated to 5-speed manual transmission and there have also been reports of an automated manual transmission (AMT) variant of the same.
Currently, the automaker sells its Go and Go+ in India that are propelled by 1.2-litre engines that can churn out 67bhp with 104 newton meters of peak torque. It comes coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and delivers 20.62kmpl of fuel efficiency.
The latest offering from Datsun will be priced under Rs. 3 lakhs in India and will compete with the likes of Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto hatchback models. Datsun Redi-Go is expected to make its debut at the Delhi Auto Expo next year.
