Bolivian miners wielding dynamite and rocks clashed with police armed with teargas and rubber bullets in La Paz after talks between mining leaders and government fell apart. The day had begun peacefully with thousands of demonstrators marching alongside 1500 striking miners towards the Ministry of the Interior, where members of the Potosí Civic Committee met with government representatives.
