A Southern Common Market (Mercosur) summit is currently underway in Brasilia and will continue until Friday. The Foreign Ministers of the regional bloc -comprised of Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, with Bolivia to be admitted on Friday- are discussing trade with Europe and legislation designed to resolve problems in border areas.
