As part of his visit to Argentina, Bolivian President Evo Morales donated a statue of Latin American indigenous independence heroine Juana Azurduy to the country. Indicating their shared commitment to Latin American identity, Morales and Argentine President Cristina Fernandez participated in the ceremony in which a monument to Christopher Colombus in Buenos Aires was replaced by the statue of Azurday.
