Although novelty is what catches one’s attention, honesty is what they make friends with. And upon hearing Akash Vincent’s debut EP titled Postcards, one can see that this singer-songwriter from New Delhi is here to stay. The EP was released independently on 10th January 2015 and features 4 songs in Akash's trademark raw, old-school style.
Akash says, “Like a lot of us, I can never run out of times when I prefer old mannerisms to the trend, sound of a gramophone to the latest music systems, natural to plastic, and yes, handwritten letters to those written in pixels. The name Postcards comes from looking at how putting out songs is similar to writing unsealed personal letters and letting them pass through so many hands in the hope of it being delivered. Every passing hand that chances upon reading it might as well have meant to if they found something in it for them.”
