Syria: Families Receive Aid in Shelters

Refugee centers in Damascus are a safe haven for the survivors of heavy fighting in the countryside outside the capital city. Families receive medical treatment, vaccine, food, clothing and psychological support, and the children go to school free of charge. Every family has stories of the suffering they experienced at the hands of extremist fighters. One woman in the town of Ghouta said that she was finally able to receive a badly needed blood transfusion when she was rescued by the Syrian army and brought to the center.
