People in Saint Lucia, as in the rest of the Caribbean, have seen an increase in visitors in 2015. During the first four months of the year, more than 8 million have arrived, and from January to June, arrivals jumped by 6 percent. Vendors have benefitted from the growth to some extent and hope that a continued rise in tourism will result in a better standard of living for them.
