In the days following the devastating earthquake in Nepal, Dr. Sanjay Gupta was in Kathmandu working with CNN while also tending to patients.
It has been revealed by Global Press Journal that the story Gupta reported concerning a surgery he performed on an 8-year-old girl wasn’t entirely factual.
Though a life-saving procedure like the one he described did occur, it involved a different patient.
The young girl featured in the report did not undergo an operation.
