Mon Dyh "Murdered" 1980 Germany Hard Blues Rock.

An obscure Berlin rock band, formed in 1979, and regulars on the local club scene for some years. Mon Dyh were very indebted to British styled blues and heavy rock, strongly song-saturated, in the early Groundhogs territory. Still unusual on occasions, and with some progressive touches, their gruff German accented Bruce Springsteen cum Tony McPhee styled vocalist takes some getting used to! Their reputation as a scorching heavy rock band is totally unfounded, unless they were more raucous in concert, that is!..

Around the rock to-right movement emerged in 1978, Mon Dyh played against the prevailing music of the German New Wave straight blues rock in English. The band gave their concerts mainly in clubs, youth centers, to non-commercial or self-organized festival. Appeared in 1980 in the initiative produced and published album Murderer. The LP sold despite a lack of commitment to succeed an established label, so Mon Dyh a year later - back in-house - released their second album titled Confused Mind to market. The third and final LP was released in 1983 on the gallows in the small label "Woolfe Records". This time the album was sung completely in German. Financially, this record should also be a flop. A short time after the appearance disbanded Mon Dyh, however. Not only because of the limited success of On the gallows, but also because of uncertainties about the future musical direction and the fear of stagnation Early 90s, and again in 2002, all three albums the group of Green Tree Records were reissued on CD..
