JetBlue Launches Flights from U.S. to Cuba

2015-07-04 7

JetBlue became the first major airline to fly from the U.S. to Cuba when a flight left New York City for Havana on Friday. Although United States citizens are still prohibited from traveling to Cuba as tourists, some are allowed to go to visit family members or participate in academic, professional, religious or educational programs. Today’s flight comes as negotiations continue to normalize relations. Embassies are scheduled to open in both countries on July 20. teleSUR
