31 Year Old Honors Late Mother’s Wish By Having His Bar Mitzvah

2015-07-01 2

When Matthew Jurgens' mother passed away when he only two years old, her last request from Rabbi Pearl was for her son to have his Bar Mitzvah. As time went by, and Matthew's father remarried, he was instead baptized into the Catholic church. As fate would have it, when Matthew turned 30, Rabbi Pearl contacted him to honor the promise he had made to Matthew's mother decades past. Matthew began to study and at the ripe age of 31, was finally able to honor the memory of his mother and go through his adolescent rite of passage. Regardless of your faith, it is never too late to keep a promise or live the life you've dreamed of!
