Surat: For many residents, the spell of heavy rains accompanied by high velocity winds seems to have come as a golden opportunity to get rid of those unwanted trees obstructing their shops, houses, apartments and commercial buildings. Around 1,000 trees were damaged or uprooted during the Wednesday's rain fury.
