TIMERGARA: Fire flames on Friday destroyed a famous bakery store and its god down at Chakdara, eye witnesses said. They said fire broke out at the Kashmir Bakery store Chakdara due to electric short circuit on Friday morning that engulfed the bakery shop and its god down nearby. The local traders called fire brigade vehicle but it was empty of water when it reached the site. Two more fire brigade vehicles were called from Batkhela but by then the flames had destroyed a readymade bakery worth of Rs 1.5 million along with raw material worth of Rs 4.4 million, according to president of Anjuman Tajaran Chakdara Khawaja Faizul Ghafor. The local traders staged a protest demonstration against the Adenzai administration and chief municipal officer for their failure to put off the fire on time. The protesting traders also chanted slogans against the administration and demanded compensation for the losses.
