The ceasefire in eastern Ukraine is still nominally in place but it's breached on a daily basis. Kiev blames the violations on the Russian and Russian-backed forces who have taken over parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. They, in turn, accuse the Ukrainian army of provoking them. In this context of deepening animosity, Ukraine has tightened restrictions on the movement of people and goods into and out of the separatist-held areas.
