To quell growing protests fueled by the corruption scandal involving the siphoning off of social security and health care system funds, Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez announced the formation of an anti-impunity commission. The opposition, however, is unconvinced by the move and charges that many of the commission members are themselves under suspicion of corruption.
