BATMAN: ARKHAM ORIGINS ONLINE MULTIPLAYER (Escapist News Now)
Warner Bros announced they are adding an online component to Batman: Arkham Origins.
WB Games Montreal teamed up with Splash Damage the guys behind Quake Wars and Brink, to create online challenge modes where players can control Batman, Robin and members of Bane and The Joker's gangs in gameplay called Invisible Predator Online.
It's 3 members of Joker's gang, versus 3 members of Bane's gang, versus Batman and Robin. If you play as the heroes you'll get some of Batman's gadgets from the main campaign like the batarang and Detective Mode.
The minions will utilize rifles, shotguns, grenades and remote-controlled aerial bombs to attack each other. You'll need to claim control points while diminishing the spawn points of the other team. The baddies will also have an x-ray vision mode, but it's use is far more limited than Batman's.
You'll also occasionally be able to take on the role of Joker or Bane and use their special attacks and takedowns. If Batman and Robin successfully put down the super villains instead of just their thugs, a large bonus is earned.
