Hi guys! What's up? I'm Jacqui Phung and I'm here to bring you all the runway details from New York Fashion Week Fall 2012.
And in case you missed it, here's the rundown on one of my favorite designers, Monique Lhuillier.
This designer was getting plenty of front row love from actress Nina Dobrev and model Camila Alves as the show opened with a black leather dress with red lace detailing. Red and black seems to be the color theme throughout this gorgeous show but there were also beautiful hints of plum, gold and silver found on a few pieces.
Trends we saw in Monique's collection included lace, leather and sequin embellishments that were virtually found on every single gown. Leather bands, angular sheer inserts and cutouts throughout also added to the classic and modern mix of glamour and sophistication we were seeing throughout the entire collection.
As for the hair and make-up on the models, Monique went with the BOLD RED LIPS and natural eye. Hair was sleeked back with waves, and they were either half-up or half-creating a very dramatic, glamourous feel to her collection.
And the finale was an absolutely red stunner! With sheer cutouts and a beautiful red train, Monique Lhullier closed her show with a gorgeous red gown, reminding us why she is one of the most creative and talented designer you'll find on A-Listers.
