FSc Chemistry Book1, CH 11, LEC 2; Rate of Reaction

2015-06-22 22

This video lecture from Reaction Kinetics (F.Sc. first year Chemistry) covers the rate of a chemical reaction. The rate is defined as the change in the concentration of the reactants or the products in a unit time. The concentration is defined in terms of moles per unit volume and hence the rate has the units of moles per unit time per unit volume. Reactants’ concentration decreases while products increase in concentration as the reaction proceeds hence rate is continuously changing.
