American soul singer born Claudia Joy Offley from Providence, Rhode Island. After having been part of The Ikettes and one of Leon Russell's Shelter People, Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen, George Harrison's "Concert for Bangla Desh", she also worked with Humble Pie. Claudia Lennear came to her first and only solo album release "Phew" in 1973.The album is split in to halfs, the first side is the rock side with a definite Stones vibe,the second side is more directed towards a fine funky-soul feeling.
Claudia was the inspiration for The Rolling Stones "Brown sugar" and David Bowie's "Lady Grinning Soul".
