The expansion of the global cement market is forecast to reach 2.2% p.a. in the coming years. Between 2008 and 2014 the market increased with an average annual growth of 6.4%. Currently, white Portland cement accounts for 4.6% of the global demand while the remaining market share is divided between other Portland cement (63.6%), aluminous cement (4.1%), hydraulic cements (2.1%) and cement clinkers (25.6%).
